We're so happy that some little and/or big feet have gotten into the Christmas spirit!

To generate a comfortable feeling from outside and inside,
Here we have a delicious cookie recipe for you that even little hands can help with.

- 2 ripe bananas
- 250 g spelt flour (type 630)
- 100g soft butter

1. Preparation:

You can preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Perhaps you could have a little helper help you set the oven? Your little baker will surely be able to proudly turn on the oven!

2. Mash bananas:

Now comes the fun part! Take the ripe bananas and mash them in a large bowl. This works great with a fork—it'll get really mushy. Your little helper will love mashing the banana and mashing it up a bit with their hands.

3. Add butter:

Now add the softened butter to the banana. Stir everything thoroughly until the butter and banana are nicely combined. Your little baking helper will certainly be able to help you with this; stirring is really fun!

4. Mix dry ingredients:

Now add the spelt flour—and a little cinnamon, if you like. For even more "aha" moments, you can help your little assistant sift the flour into the bowl.

5. Mix everything together:

Flour & banana mixture are now combined. Stir everything with
Stir thoroughly with a spoon until a thick batter forms. Your little helper can also help stir it in—the more, the better!

6. It's time to cool down:

A little patience is required here, but the dough needs to be refrigerated for 20-30 minutes. During this time, perhaps you can work together to clean up any flour dust and spilled butter.

7. Cut out cookies:

Now it's time to shape the cookies! Roll out the dough evenly and cut out the stars, then place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Now place chocolate or almonds in the arms of the stars. Your little helper can also be a great help with this.

8. Baking:

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes, until they're golden brown. Let your child watch the cookies in the oven and maybe sniff the delicious aromas through the oven door with you. But be careful, the oven is hot, so keep an eye on it!

9. Let cool:

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack or large plate. Your little helper will be eager to try the warm cookies – but they need to cool a bit first! If you like, you can paint little eyes on the stars using a little melted chocolate and a wooden skewer.

Now the spelt banana cookies are ready and waiting to be eaten!

Bon appetit!
